Russian Ambassador Alexey Pavlovsky took part in the Remembrance Day National Ceremony
On November 11 H.E. Dr Alexey Pavlovsky, Ambassador of the Russian Federation, laid a wreath beside the Pool of Reflection in the Commemorative Area of the Australian War Memorial in observance of Remembrance Day.
Russians share with Australians deep respect for the memory of soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Desecration or destruction of monuments erected in remembrance of those who fought in the Second World War on the side of the United Nations, we witness nowadays in certain European countries, is inadmissible.
